In Green with a Touch of Gold 2, I am not looking for a recognizable landscape, but for the feeling that a landscape can evoke. The pink and purple accents give the landscape a transient quality, as if nature reveals itself fully for a moment before changing again. The soft green, the subtle golden glow, and the traces of flowering vegetation allude to a moment when light, water, and earth seem to be in balance. The painting invites you to pause and not only observe nature, but also to experience it.

The serie "Green with a touch of gold" came from my fascination with the constant change in nature. The landscape isn’t depicted literally, but is reduced to its essence: light, space, and movement. By building up layers of paint and then partially removing them, a calm composition emerges where the horizon provides a moment of rest, and the gold refers to the fleeting light that continuously transforms the landscape.
